She was born in Bridgeport to Arthur and Anne Scheppe Griswold.
She attended Harding High School and worked as a sales associate for Bradley's Store until her retirement.
She is survived by eight children, Linda of Fairfield, Edward of Bridgeport, Susan Rowe and her husband Elmer of Milford, Diane McKeown of Manchester, Carol Heibler and her husband Richard of Fairfield, William and his wife Lynda of Divide, Colo., Karen Ward and her husband Gary of Fairfield, Janet Georgen and her husband Lawrence of Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Arthur Griswold, of Milford, Marjorie Chipello and her husband, James of Milford, Catherine Andrews of Derry, N.H., and Winnifred Lane and her husband, John of West Berne, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
MacDonald was predeceased by her husband, Edward, a sister, Charlotte Hee, daughter-in-law Elaine, son-in-law Henry McKeown, and grandsons Michael Marchese and Gerry-Lee McKeown.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center.
Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery.
